Madredeus involved in hit-and-run-accident
The owners of a fishing boat filed a maritime protest with the Philippine Coast Guard, accusing the "Madredeus" in damaging their boat in the morning of Apr 7, 2016. The booat was anchored neat Sampaloc Point in the San Antonio municipality, Mindanao, when a passing vessel caught the anchor cable and dragged the boat. The outrigged boat was damaged, two of the three crew members fell overboard and nearly drowned. The bulkcarrier continued sailing in northern direction. The owners of the boat were now demanding a compensation for the damages. The cargo ship, which was en route from Indonesia to Taiwan, presently is anchored in Kaohsiung.
