Ferry service cancelled due to technical trouble

The "Lurøy" suffered technical problems on Nov 11, 2017, affecting the ferry service in Loppa and Hasvik. The crossings Øksfjord-Tverrfjord (Route 510) in the morning had to be cancelled as well as the the Øksfjord-Hasvik.

Ferry reviewed after grounding of sister ship

After the grounding of the ferry "Lovund" in the evening of Mar 20, 2014, also the sister ship "Lurøy" was taken out of service by Boreal Transports over the weekend. While security procedures were carried out and the ship has been reviewed, no fault was found, so the ship returned to service.

Ferry service temporarily suspended after technical trouble

The "Lurøy" was taken out of service after suffering technical trouble in Lovundsambandet in the afternoon of Oct 23, 2012. The company Transport Boreal Nord was working to repair the ship. Since the evening the "Hårek" was inserted on the route, and in the morning of Oct 24 the "Rana" took over which has half the capacity of the "Lurøy" in the service to and from Lovund so it ran a number of extra trips in Lovundsambandet.
