Ferry sidelined due to technical trouble
On Oct 9, 2016, the "Lødingen" had to be taken out of the service Bognes-Lødingen due to technical Problems. The ferry was recently repaired, but on Oct 8 the issue with one of the bow ports which had been exchanged some days ago, occurred again last night, and the ship remained at the quay in Lødingen for the time being. As spare parts must be provided it will be difficult to repair. With only one ferry in operation in the morning, travellers heading home from autumn holiday were queued in Lødingen.
Crew intentionally beached ferry
The "Lødingen" was intentionally grounded on July 19 at 0:30 a.m. in Bodø following a technical problem. The engine did not react so it was beached in an area with lots of sand and small Stones in order to avoid an allision with the dock. There were 55 passengers on board and there was no damage to either passengers, crew or vehicles. The sailings at 11:00 a.m. and 2 p.m. were canceled. A replacement Ferry was called and it was hoped that the "Lødingen" would be back on track during the weekend.

The "Lødingen" was back in the Lødingen-Bognes service in the run of the day. Already in of Jun the gas ferry had suffered engine failure after sailing from Bodø and drifted around for over an hour.
