Sailings cancelled and delayed due to pump issue
The 'Loch Frisa', serving on the route Oban-Craignure, suffered a technical issue with the fresh water pumps on Sep 8. As a consequence, the scheduled 10.00 a.m. departure from the port of Craignure had to be cancelled. The vessel was re-positioned to Oban to allow the issue to be investigated. The departure at 11:25 a.m. from Oban was liable to disruption or cancellation. The ferry finally departed at 11:47 a.m. with delay of 22 minutes to the scheduled departure. The ferry was expected to make up time throughout the day.
Technical issue with slicing door
On Aug 26, the operator CalMac of the ferry ''Loch Frisa', serving on the route Oban-Craignure, reported a technical issue with the electric sliding door. As a consequence, the accessible toilet on the ferry out of order until further notice.
Technical issue with sewage plant
The 'Loch Frisa', serving on the route Oban-Craignure, has suffered a technical issue with the sewage plant. Due to the requirement for regular uplift, the 07:10 a.m. sailing from Craignure from Monday to Fridays will now depart at 06:45 a.m. The technical issue was resolved on Aug 20, and the 06:45 a.m. sailing departing Craignure Monday to Fridays was reverted back to 07:10 a.m. On Aug 25, however, due to an operational issue with the ferry, the scheduled 07:10 a.m. sailing from Craignure had to be cancelled. An update was to be provided soon for the remainder of the day.
