Defiencies closed out after PSC following grouning incident
The "Sylve" which had run aground in the River Ouse near Goole on May 3 at 4.45 p.m. and was refloated on May 3 at 06.30 a.m. with the aid of two tugs on the high tide, was inspected in Goole after its arrival. There were no reports of any damage or repairs undertaken. During her port call she had a Port State Control inspection by the MCGA and had five deficiencies recorded, which were all closed out prior to departure, with Class (RINA) in attendance. The main engine was tested slow ahead and astern, both locally and from the Bridge console satisfactorily. The vessel departed from Gooleon May 5 at 7.15 p.m. bound for Szczecin, ETA May 11.
Grounding off Goole
The "Sylve" ran aground after an engine failure in position 53 41 17.8 N, 000 51 22.5 W, on May 2, 2019, on May 2, 2019, at 7.15 p.m. Two tugs were sent to the incident site. The vessel was refloated on May 3 at 07.30 a.m. and taken in tow towards Goole. It was enroute from Riga to Goole with a cargo of 3325 tons timber.
