Barge lost wheelhouse in allision
In the morning of Dec 1, 2017, the "Nina“ (EU-No.: 04812950), coming from Rotterdam, allided with the Oude IJssel-Bridge in Zutphen. Train traffic between Zutphen, Dieren and Klarenbeek was stopped at 9.50 a.m. as a precaution. Rescue forces attended, but no one had been injured. Inspectors of Prorail surveyed the bridge which was released for traffic again at 10.30 a.m. The barge which had lost its wheelhouse in the allision docked at a pier in Eefde. The tanker was being under repair at the Kampers Shipyard in Puttershoek since Dec 3 for a reconstruction of the crushed wheelhouse. After it was replaced, the ship left Hengelo bound to Rotterdam, where it arrived on Jan 8, 2018, at 3 p.m. Dutch reports with photos and video: https://www.omroepgelderland.nl/nieuws/2150712/Schip-vaart-tegen-Oude-IJsselbrug-bij-Zutphen http://www.gelrenieuws.nl/2017/12/binnenvaartschip-ramt-brug-in-zutphen-treinverkeer-komt-weer-opgang.html https://www.destentor.nl/zutphen/schip-ramt-oude-ijsselbrug-in-zutphen~a5f5ec56/
