Grounding near Kvænangen
On the evening Dec 2, 2024, the 'Linken' ran aground north of the Sortlands Bridge, on the Strand side south from Kvænangen, and requested assistance. There were no injuries. The Norwegian Coast Guard deplyoed the patrol vessel 'Barentshav' at around 7 p.m.. which checked the condition of the vessel, which managed to refloat at 9.15 p.m. without assistance. At 10.30 p.m. it arrived at the quay at Sortland. Once the ship has been checked, the fishing trip was to be continued to Bø to fish for halibut until Dec 20.
