Allision in Piraeus
The Port Authority of Keratsini was informed in the morning of March 7, 2021, that the 'Norah', which which was moored in the repair zone of Neos Molos Drapetsonas, broke lose from its moorings and was pushed agains the 'Aqua Solution' which was moored astern. The allision caused minor material damage. No injuries or marine pollution were reported. Three tugs came to assist and pulled the ship to a safer place of Neos Molos Drapetsonas. The North Port Department of Keratsini of the Central Port Authority of Piraeus banned the ships from sailing until the presentation of seaworthiness certificates and class maintenance by the attending classification societies. The 'Aqua Solution' was already under a sailing ban.
Engine trouble n Baie Comeau
The "Elin" suffered a problem with the main engine while berthing in Baie Comeau, Quebec, in position 49 15 16.6 N, 68 07 56.3 W, on nov 11, 2018, at 3 p.m. The vessel was secured alongside with the assistance of tugs and the crew made repairs. On Nov 21 the ship berthed in Philadelphia.
Longshoreman injured at Port of Longview
A longshoreman was taken to a Vancouver hospital by Life Flight helicopter Monday morning after he was struck by a log while working in the hold of freighter at the Port of Longview, according to the Longview Fire Department. The identify of the worker was not released because of privacy laws, and a report on his condition was unavailable Monday evening. According to the fire department, a crane was lowering logs into the TPC Timaru when one of them swung around and struck the longshoreman. Ship crews and other longshoremen loaded him into a rescue basket, and the crane lifted the man to the dock, where he was treated briefly by firefighters and AMR medics. Life Flight then took him to Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver, according to the fire department.
