Main engine breakdown off Samsø
The "Issehoved" on its route between Samsø and Aarhus had bad luck again: In the morning of July 22 one main engine broke down, and the ferry, which was off Samsø, reached port with a significant delay at 2.15 p.m. The ship was expected to be out of service all week. Passengers who have booked tickets until July 31 will be refunded by the Samsø Shipping Company.
Allision in Aarhus
The "Issehoved", which was just introduced on a summer route between Sælvig and Aarhus, allided with a port facility in Aarhus on July 15, 2018, and was subsequently towed to the dock. The accident happened when docking at Aarhusved at 5 p.m. when it slammed into the quay. No person was injured, but some material damage occurred on the port side bow of the ferry that was towed to the dock and could not continue the service to Samsø. 50 passengers waiting for the ferry in Aarhus, to sail to Samsø and attend the weekend's music festival, were transported to Hou where they reached the car ferry to Samsø at 7.30 p.m. The "Issehoved" resumed sailing in the morning of July 16. Repairs in Marstal completed
The "Issehoved", which had to be withdrawn from the Samsø-Aarhus route on July 13, left the repair yard in Marstal on July 18 at 6.45 p.m., berthed in Svendbord from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. and resumed its service from Salvig to Aarhus on July 19.
