Dramatic rescue mission at Hustadvika
In the evening of Mar 9, 2014, the "Fjellmøy" was involved in a rescue mission for the "Langsund" at Hustadvika in Møre og Romsdal. The fish carrier with a crew of four on board had lost engine power in strong winds and was drifting only 400 meters from the shore at Kobbeskjæret near Orta when the trawler from Måløy arrived at 11.30 p.m. A small lifeboat and other craft were also on scene, and before the arrival of the "Fjellmøy", the "Havtind" in vain had tried to connect to the drifting "Langsund". Fortunately they succeeded to get a rope aboard the fish carrier in the first attempt and started to pull it southwards together with the lifeboat in the early morning of Mar 10.
