Medevac off Scillies
On Jan 29, 2017, a crew member of the "L'Ar Voaleden" was evacuated off the Scilly Islands to England by helicopter after consultation with the CCMM. The operation, coordinated by the MRCC Falmouth, was also supported by SPOC Gris-Nez and CROSS Corsen.
Trawler punctured on rock head
The "Ar Voaleden", 118,25 gt, ran onto the rock head at Basse-Vieille near Cape Chèvre on June 9, 2016, at 3 a.m. The accident at the entrance to the Bay of Douarnenez caused major damage to the hull of the trawler. The hull was ruptured and a diesel tank punctured. By chance it was almost empty. The ship headed to the nearest port, which was Rosmeur in Douarnenez to unload the catch before the ship was pulled onto a slipway for repairs. A small oil spill was contained with absorbent pads. Medevac off Ushant
On May 2, 2014, shortly after midnight, the CROSS Corsen was alerted through the center of maritime medical consultation (CCMM) in Toulouse after a sailor aboard the "Ar Voaleden" was injured in the thigh and should be evacuated. The trawler Gwas106 nautical miles north-west of Ushant. The CROSS Corsen dispatched a Cayman helicopter of the National Marine Base in Lanvéoc-Poulmic. At 3 a.m. a medical team was hoisted aboard and prepared the injured, a man of 28 years, for transport. Around 4:30 a.m., the sailor was delivered at the hospital Cavale Blanche in Brest.
