Tue Jan 31 21:01:53 CET 2017 Timsen

On Jan 29, 2017, a crew member of the "L'Ar Voaleden" was evacuated off the Scilly Islands to England by helicopter after consultation with the CCMM. The operation, coordinated by the MRCC Falmouth, was also supported by SPOC Gris-Nez and CROSS Corsen.

Trawler punctured on rock head

Fri Jun 10 10:20:39 CEST 2016 Timsen

The "Ar Voaleden", 118,25 gt, ran onto the rock head at Basse-Vieille near Cape Chèvre on June 9, 2016, at 3 a.m. The accident at the entrance to the Bay of Douarnenez caused major damage to the hull of the trawler. The hull was ruptured and a diesel tank punctured. By chance it was almost empty. The ship headed to the nearest port, which was Rosmeur in Douarnenez to unload the catch before the ship was pulled onto a slipway for repairs. A small oil spill was contained with absorbent pads.
