On Apr 1, 2010, at 11.51 a.m. the "Nornen ran aground between Jomfruland and Skåtøy off Kragerø and suffered a leak. A slight sheen of oil was observed around the vessel which had been on patrol when the accident happened. Possible it is hydraulic oil originating from the propeller system. The ship refloated and anchored for surveys by divers.
