Disabled freighter under tow to Durban

The 'Kota Nanhai' moored at Richards Bay with engine trouble due to malfunctioning gensets on Nov 23, 2020 at 1.50 a.m. The vessel was to be repaired in Durban after cargo operations. The Bahamas flagged offshore tug 'RT Spirit' (IMO:9190054) was tasked to undertake the towage and sailed from Durban on Nov 30. It arrived in Richards Bay on Dec 1. The convoy left the waters on Dec 11 at 7.40 a.m. and arrived at the Maydon Wharf in Durban on Dec 12 for repairs in dry dock.
