Ferry lost life raft
Fullers ferry service from Waiheke to Auckland were delayed after the 'Kororā' lost its life raft during a sailing on Oct 11, 2019. The life raft on the Fullers360 vessel became unattached shortly after the ship departed Waiheke Island about 8.30 a.m.The ship stopped at sea while it was retrieved, which caused about a 35 minute delay to the ferry's arrival into Auckland. A check of the 'Kororā's life raft was completed two days prior, and the shackles were reported in working order. The ferry was sent to maintenance in Auckland so Fullers could investigate the cause.
