The Port Authority of Olbia detained the 'Lord Joy' on March 5, 2020, after an inspection at the industrial dock Cocciani in Olbia, where it had arrived on March 3. The ship was loaded with marble and was enroute from Alicante to Port Said. In particular, the Coast Guard inspectors found serious shortcomings relating to the engine and related maintenance procedures as well as safety standards required by international legislation.
