Boy medevaced in Heraklion
In the evening of May 4, 2024, the Unified Center for Coordination of SAR in Heraklion was informed by the Master of the 'Knossps Palace' that while the ship was carrying out a scheduled route from Heraklion to the ports of Milos and Piraeus, a 9-year-old passenger required immediate hospital treatment. The ship returned to the port of Heraklion, where the patient disembarked safely and was transported by ambulance to the University General Hospital of Heraklion for the provision of first aid. Afterwards, the ferry set sail with 119 crew members and 951 passengers on board to the port of Milos.
Passenger injured in fall on board
In the evening of April 1, 2024, the Central Port Authority of Piraeus was informed by the Master of the 'Knossos Palace' about the injury of an 18 year old passenger due to a fall on board, while the ship was on a scheduled route to the ports of Milos and Heraklion, the victim required immediate medical attention. The ship returned to the port of Piraeus, where the injured woman was disembarked safely and picked up by an ambulance and taken to the Piraeus Zaneio General Hospital for further medical treatment. A preliminary investigation was carried out by the Port Authority.
Allision in Heraklion
In the morning of Nov 11, 2023, the Port Authority of Heraklion was informed that during mooring operations of the 'Knossos Palace' the ferry allidd with pier II of Heraklion port on a scheduled route from the port of Piraeus to Heraklion with 770 passengers on board, who disembarked safely from the ship with no injuries reported. A sailing ban was imposed on the ship by the Heraklion Port Authority, and then an inspection was carried out by members of the Local Ship Inspection Unit. Upon presentation of a certificate of seaworthiness by the classifier monitoring the ship, it was allowed to continue its route.
