Maiden Call of KMTC’s Newest and Biggest Ship ever at BNCT

Mon Jul 14 20:42:13 CEST 2014 arnekiel

BNCT celebrated the maiden call of MV KMTC Mumbai, KMTC’s biggest vessel ever, on Monday, 14 July. Able to hold 5466 TEU, this vessel supports KMTC’s strategy to upsize vessels on the FIX service connecting Far East, Asia and India. “Upsizing vessels on this service comes at the right time as trade between these regions has increased significantly recently”, according to BNCT’s Chief Commercial Officer, Peter Slootweg. “As FIX Service’s terminal in Busan and as KMTC’s partner, we are proud to be a part of this historical event. This new, big vessel mirrors BNCTs’ own investment in the future, with 700,000 TEU additional capacity coming online by May 2015, and reflects our great potential to grow with KMTC in New Port for years to come”
