The panicking passengers immediately were evacuated with life rafts, assisted by ASDP Waipirit officers using rubber boats. The evacuation process has been successfully completed. One female passenger suffered from shock and was taken to hospital by ambulance. The 10 crew members remained aboard. On Jan 4 the 'Terubuk' was towed to the port of Waipirit to unload the vehicles on board the vessel. An investigation was ongoing to determine the cause of the incident.
