Tanker attacked off Nigeria
The "Levanto", while proceeding from Calabar to Lagos, Nigeria, in position 02 54 50N, 005 24 40E, about 35 miles south-southwest of the Agbami terminal was attacked by pirates a skiff, on May 3, 2019, at 8.50 p.m. Shots were fired at the tanker by the pirates during the attack. The "Levanto" performed anti-piracy evasive manoeuvres, increased speed and finally the pursuit ended with skiff falling behind. The vessel and crew members were reported safe.
