Water ingress in Arnhem
The "Kilstroom", 2486 ts (EU-No.: 02325856), suffered water ingress in Arnhem on March 12, 2018. The fire rescue was alerted at 11.20 a.m. and was looking if an emergency repair was possible to close the leak. Until the afternoon the fire brigade continued to pump the water out of the ship which had been enroute from Tolkamer to Budapest, ETA March 23, and berthed in Arnhem on March 11 at 2.40 p.m. The "Kilstroom" had got into trouble when the fertilizer loaded barge took the bend from the port towards the Pley Bridge. It was not yet clear where and why the damage occured. A private company was called in to tow the ship to the dock and unload its cargo there. Divers were called to investigate what damage the ship has suffered. She left the port again after repairs on March 26 at 11.15 a.m., next bound to Budapest.
