Grounding off Unalaska

Sun Feb 13 12:53:00 CET 2022 Timsen

The 'Kevleen K' ran aground in Unalaska in the morning of Feb 12, 2022. It was en route to offload crab at local processing plant Westward Seafoods. The vessel hit rocks near Little South America just before 10 a.m. It was pulled off the rocks by thef/v 'Amatuli' about an hour later and was safely berthed at the Westward Seafoods. The reason for the grounding was still unclear. The U.S. Coast Guard was leading the investigation. Unalaska Public Safety and the local fire department also responded.
