Ship disabled in Dardanelles

On Nov 6, 2017, around 8 a.m. the "Amira Eman"" suffered engine failure in the Dardanelles, while transiting in eastern direction en route from Volos to Bandirma. The vessel was moored at Kepez anchorage. The master refused help as the crew was trying fix problem by own means and resume sailing. On Nov 7 the ship resumed sailing.

Grounding off Porto Nogaro

Enroute from Oran to Alexandria the "Amira Eman", loaded with over 4,500 tonnes of steel products destined for the for the mills of San Giorgio di Nogaro, ran aground in the evening of Apr 20 in the estuary of the Porto Buso (Grado), within the Corno river waterway leading to the port of Porto Nogaro, in San Giorgio di Nogaro (Udine). The ship, having a draft of less than six meters, had just released the tug at and headed to Alexandria when she got stuck. The assistance was coordinated by the Monfalcone Port Master's Office and the Maritime District Office of Porto Nogar. The "Cp 846" was deployed by the Grado Maritime Bureau of Grado to monitor the refloating operations which were successfully carried out by the tug "Val". The ship did not suffer any damage, the crew members were not injured. The vessel was was allowed to resume the journey after about two hours, ETA at Alexandria Apr 24.
