Tanker grounded in Belfast

The "Keewhit" ran aground in pos 54 38 9.6 N 5 52 23.4, on July 23, 2018, at 2.08 p.m. with a crew of 10 on board. Two tugs assisted in safely refloated the tanker which was escorted back to a berth at the Richardson's Wharf in Belfast the same day by the tug "Eileen McLoughlin". On July 24 at 10.15. p.m. the ship sailed again and arrived in Liverpool on July 25 at 12.40 p.m.

Bunker tanker disabled ferry

Several Stena Line services between Holyhead and Dublin have been cancelled after the ferry "Stena Nordica" was hit by the "Keewhit" in Holyhead Harbour on Feb 1 2015. The "Stena Nordica" was taken out of service so repairs could be completed until Feb 5. The Marine Accident and Investigation Branch (MAIB) was gathering information in order to decide whether to investigate this incident in due course.
