New Coastguard vessels delivered by P & S Yards
On June 12, 2013, at 07:30 a.m. the "KBV 031" and "KBV left the Peene-Werft in Wolgast and sailed to their bases Djurö respective Helsingborg. From 2010-2013 the yard built four multi-purpose vessel for the Swedish Coastguard, the KBV 031-034. The vessels shall serve as environmental protection and surveillance ships and must also be able to participate in maritime and environmental monitoring, border, fisheries, customs and police controils at sea and have a great ability to absorb oil and other chemicals from the sea and also to handle emergency towing, fire fighting and rescue tasks. P + S shipyard in Wolgast delivers new coast gurd vessel to Sweden
The P + S shipyard in Wolgast, handed over the second of four coastal patrol ships to the Swedish "Coast Guard". The transfer on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 was preceded by intense workouts and training of the crew, said the shipyard on Wednesday. The shipyard had started in 2010 with the construction of the series of the 52-meter-long ships. The contract is worth around 90 million €. The first ship was handed over in early June 2012.
