Crew member fell over board and died

A crew member of the 'Katre' fell overboard on March 27, 2025, shortly after 4 p.m. while the shp was en route from Kotka to Birkenhead, between Läsö and Gothenburg, west of the Swedish port. An SAR operation was launched after the Maritime and Air Rescue Centre was alerted at 4.20 p.m. A few units were deployed to the scene, as well as a rescue helicopter. The Coast Guard and the Maritime Rescue Society were also alerted along with a Danish rescue helicopter. The person has been found, and was winched up by the Danish helicopter. He was taken to hospital, but has since died, The circumstances surrounding what happened were still unclear at this time, The police was investigating the matter.

Performer disabled off Tuzla

The "Performer" remained at anchor off Tuzla on Nov 16 with its crew of nine after having been secured by the tug "Kurtarma 7" around midnight on the anchorage off the port due to an engien failure the previous evening. The ship had sailed from Istanbul on Nov 15 at 4.30 p.m. and was expected in Las Palmas on Nov 24. Taken to Tuzla for repairs after engine failure

General cargo vessel Performer at around 1950 LT Nov 15 13 suffered engine failure reportedly on recommended lane in Marmara sea moving south towards Dardanelles, en route from Mariupol Ukraine to Spain. Tug was dispatched, vessel was secured and either towed or escorted to Tuzla, apparently for repairs. As of 1300 UTC Nov 16 vessel was anchored in Tuzla.
