Collision off Chateauguay

The bulkcarrier "Federal Baltic" was in collision with the "Algosea" in the St. Lawrence Seaway South shore canal off Chateauguay, Quebec, in position 045 24 43.6 N, 073 42 18.5 W, on May 7, 2019. The ships suffered minor damages. The "Federal Baltic" sailed from Montreal on May 9, bound to Ravenna, ETA May 25. The "Algosea" arrived at Nanticoke on May 16.

Engine failure on St. Lawrence River

The "Algosea" suffered an engine failure on the St. Lawrence River off Lavaltrie, Quebec, on April 10, 2019, at 8 a.m. in position 45 52 34.1 N, 73 15 38.6 W. The crew carried out repairs and the vessel resumed its voyage. The vessel arrived in Marine City on April 14 at 1 a.m.

Engine failure off Port Weller

The "Algosea", having sailed from Montreal on Dec 22, 2018, suffered an engine failure on the Lake Ontario, 2.11 miles west-northwest of Port Weller, Ontario, in position 43 14 35.4 N, 79 15 29.7 W, on Dec 23 at 7.15 a.m. The vessel had to anchor off Port Weller for repairs. It arrived in Port Huron on Dec 26 at 9 p.m.
