Medevac in Eemshaven
Rescue services were deployed on May 26, 2021, for a medical emergency on the 'Karmsund' in Eemshaven. When the ship entered the port enroute from Rotterdam at 4.15 p.m, medical teams were ready to disembark the patient. Together with the trauma team, he was treated by an ambulance service on board, after which he was disembarked from the ship with a cherry picker from the fire brigade. Cargo ship aground off Kragerø
Enroute from Hirtshals to Oslo the "Karmsund" ran aground aground around 40-50 meters from the shore in the Lovisenberg Sound at Langtangen after having left Kragerø on May 17, 2014, at 3.15 p.m. The crew of 10 was not inured. The tugs "Evis" and "Triset" were called to assist and refloated the vessel on May 18. The unloaded ship was damaged at the bow, had suffered a leak in one or two ballast tanks and took in some water. The cause of the accident was thought to be a navigational error.
