Vessel adrift off Arendal
On Dec 20, 2011, at 10.15 p.m. the "Bro Gothenburg" went adrift about 9-10 nautical miles east of Arendal. The ship which had sailed from Slagen at 2 p.m. had suffered engine problems and therefore requested assistance to get to port. The gearbox of the main shaft had failed. The tug "BB Connector" arrived at the vessel on Dec 21 at 5 a.m. and took it in tow. The vessel was safely moored in Kristiansand on Dec 21 at 9 a.m.
