At 0300 Nov 18 m/v Kapitan Kuznetsov was towed to entrance buoy Arkhangel port. At 1200 port icebreaker Kapitan Chaadayev took m/v Kapitan Kuznetsov on tow and towed to port area, at 2000 vessel was docked in Arkhangel Ship Repairing Yard. Casualty arrived off Arkhangelsk

The icebreaker "Dixon" has towed the "Kapitan Kuznetsov" the entrance buoy of Arkhangelsk on Nov 18 at about 3.50 GMT. The freighter has no power, and the "Dixon" which was too big to enter the port, intended to transferthe tow to local tugs. During the night they could not approach the cargo ship due to wave heights of 2,5 meters. At dawn, the ship was to be pulled into port. The cargo vessel's crew in the meantime even had been able to restore engine power, but due to a faulty steering mechanism had to be taken in tow by the "Dixon".

ETA of arrival at Archangelsk given

The "Kapitan Kuznetsov" is expected at Archangelsk on Nov 18 at 3 a.m. The ship is now 240 kilometers off the port and actually has a speed of seven knots. One crew member who had been hurt was medevaced on Nov 17 after his state got worse.
