Fish factory towed to Longyearbyen
The "Kapitan Dolgikh" suffered a main engine failure in the vicinity of Western Spitsbergen in the Greenland Sea, on May 5. The Norwegian Coast Guard vessel "Svalbard" was dispatched to the scene once more and took the "Kapitan Dolgikh" in tow to Longyearbyen.
Fish factory towed to Harstad
The "Kapitan Dolgikh" was disabled on Apr 24, 2018, after a trawl net had wrapped around the propeller 12 miles off the Sortland coast. The ship asked for assistance. It was towed to Andøya on Apr 28 at 3.30 p.m. by the patrol boat "Svalbard" of the Norwegian Coastguard and dropped anchor off Lundenes. It was then pulled further and drydocked at the Harstad Yard. Trawler disabled off Topp Sound
On Apr 27, 2015, the "Kapitan Dolgikh" was anchored just outside the breakwater at Lundenes with two tugs remaining on standby. The trawler arrived off Andøya at 3.30 p.m. The Coast Guard headquarters in Sortlandwere notified that the trawler had problems in the Topp Sound outside the 12-km boundary. Bodø Radio informed the patrol boat "Sortland" of the Coast Guard which took in tow the trawler to Andfjorden where the vessel was anchored until being towed further to Harstad.
