Worker injured when falling 60 feet down
Chesapeake fire crews rescued a worker from Elizabeth River Terminals (Kinder Morgan) who fell and injured themselves on the "Auckland Spirit" in the morning of Feb 15, 2017. The worker slipped, fell, and suffered a leg injury. The situation was called in shortly after 8 a.m. The worker was alert and conscious. He had been working 60 feet down from the top of the ship’s deck when he slipped and injured himself. A crane with a rescue basket was used to get the worker to the surface of the ship.
