Ferry Jupiter towed to recycling
After nearly four decades of service on the Clyde, ferry Jupiter bid farewell to the river tonight, towed away for recycling. One of Caledonian MacBrayne’s three so-called Streakers, Clyde-built Jupiter served mainly on the Gourock to Dunoon service. The vessel has been laid up on standby at Roseneath in recent months whilst Saturn has been operating the route.
