Five crew members still missing
Five Filipino fishermen wree still missing after the "Jun Rong", 998 gt, caught fire in the South Atlantic on Feb. 11, 2019, 60 miles north of the capital Stanley off the Falkland Islands. 69 people were aboard when the incident occurred. 64 have been rescuewith the assistance of nearby vessels. The rescued fishermen were taken to Montevideo. The Jun Rong Fishery will arrange for each of the workers to be repatriated. The 69 crew members included four Taiwanese, 22 Filipino citizens, 28 Indonesian citizens, nine Vietnamese, one Burmese and one Chinese national. The government will offer the fishery all necessary assistance to ensure the rescued workers make it home safely. The cause of the fire was still unclear.
