Allision in Hachinohe

Thu Oct 10 11:30:03 CEST 2024 Timsen

On Oct 9, 2024, at around 4:35 p.m., the 'Ji Zhe 7', which had just departed from the G quay of the Hachinohe Port, Aomori Prefecture, where it had berthed on Oct 5, was in allision with the 'Mimitsu' (IMO: 9527958), which was docked at the E quay since Oct 3. No crew members on either ship were injured, and no flooding or oil spills have been reported. The Coast Guard of Hachinohe was investigating the cause of the accident. Strong winds were thought to have contributed to the allision. Both ships remained stationary in port as of Oct 10.
