German trawler seized by Norwegian Coastguard

On May 29, 2018, the Norwegian Coastguard seized the "Bianca - NC 312" with 20 tons of fish on board after the patrol boat "Sortland" discovered what the crew believed was illegal fishing in the Alle Bank in the North Sea, an area closed for fishing. The trawler and the crew of five had to follow the "Sortland" into the port of Bergen where the prosecution authorities took over. The crew was asked to pay a deposit of 170,000 Norwegian crowns which they did not accept. Thus, the case will be forwarded to Bergen District Court.
