JANINA 8811728
On July 26, 2010, at 2.40 a.m. the "Janina" while at anchor was hit by the Dutch f/v "Noordzee - GO 27", 239 gt (IMO: 7907855), 25 kilometres westsouthwest of Hoek van Holland. The coaster was at anchor after having departed from Rotterdam the previous day. The rescue center Den Helder sent the KNRM-boats of the stations Hoek van Holland, Stellendam and Noordland. Also a vessel of the harbour service Rotterdam proceeded to the position 51°83'9 N 003°30'05 E. The "Janina" reported water ingress in the engine room, the f/v was safe and remained on scene for assistance. The rescue boats provided three additional dewatering pumps. The crew remained on board, and the situation in the engine room could be brought under control. The rescue boat from Hoek van Holland was thus released at 6.30 a.m. and returned to the Berg harbour. The two remaining boats waited until a tug arrived at 6 p.m. to tow the damaged vessel to port. The "Goeree 27" meanwhile berthed in Stellendam.
