Tug repaired in Tuzla

Repairs of the 'Izmir Rafinerisi III' have been completed at a Tuzla shipyard. After a performance test inspection was carried out under the supervision of a classification society surveyor, a new set of trading documents was issued by the class and flag state authorities. The vessel has been granted permission to depart, and it sailed from Tuzla, bound for Aliaga, on April 8. The vessel arrived at the Aliaga Petroleum Pier and returned to service on April 9.

Disabled tug towed to Tuzla

The 'Izmir Rafinerisi-3' suffered a technical failure at Aliaga on March 1, 2021. As repair attempts failed, th tug 'T. Damla 2' was deployed to tow the vessel to Tuzla. The towage operation commenced on March 11. During the transit of the Canakkale Strait, the Coastal Safety tug 'Turkeli' provided escort service for the vessel and Strait traffic safety. The tug arrived in Tuzla on March 13at 9.30 a.m.
