Repairs in Rotterdam to be completed soon
The repairs to the "Lily- B" were scheduled to be completed on May 14. The vessel was headed to Hamburg after having left the Wilton Port in Rotterdam on May 17 at 2.20 a.m. On May 18 around noon the ship was sailing upstream the Elbe off Cuxhaven on its way to port.
Freighter disabled by fouled propeller
The "Lily- B", en route from Port Penrhyn to Rotterdam with a crew of six on board, suffered a fouled propeller by the chain of a fairway buoy off Holyhead in position 53 16.38N, 004 04.79W, on March 31, 2018, at 02.25 a.m. The vessel had on board 2120 tonnes of slate and 24.8 metric tonnes of marine gasoil. The tug "Afon Alaw" (IMO: 9298935) of the Holyhead towing company was sent to assist to tow the vessel to Rotterdam on Apr 1 at 07.30 a.m. She berthed in the Wilton Port on Apr 9 at 5.30 p.m.
Small oil spill in Kiel-Holtenau
On Sep 5, 2016, at 7.50 a.m., after the "Lily B" berthed in the southern chamber of the Kiel Canal locks in Holtenau enroute from Hamburg to Aalborg, an oil film was observed behind the ship. The water police was informed accodingly and the lock, in which also the "RMS Rahm" and "Adele" were berthed, closed until 9.10 a.m. After the lock was opened again, these two ships could leave, while the "Lily B" sailed at 10 a.m. and berthed at the East Shore Port in Kiel for investigations.
