Failure of a steering component on the bridge's conning station
The 'Iryda' suffered the failure of a steering component on the bridge's conning station on Oct 15, 2019. The vessel was authorized to proceed to Les Razades anchorage off Les Escoumins, Quebec, using the emergency steering station. The ship was moored off Trois Pistoles as of Oct 16.The 'Iryda' completed repairs at the Les Escoumins anchorage on Oct 24 and resumed its voyage, arriving in Cleveland on Oct 27 at 10.45 p.m.
Bulkcarrier broke off power supply line of bridge
After having left the grain terminal in Toledo in the afternoon of May 25, 2018, the "Iryda" was caught in the power supply wires of the railroad bridge of the town. It broke off one of them, but continued her voyage to Montreal. The bridge over the Maumee river in the Lake Erie was closed for six hours for repairs.

On the Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan the "Iryda" grounded above the Soo Locks about 3:30 a.m. Apr 16 off Brush Point on the U.S. side. She was downbound with wheat loaded in Superior, Wis. at Harvest States 2. The ship was pulled free short after noon with help from the tug Missouri, they were downbound in the Poe Lock at 1:30 p.m. and stopped at 6 Mile Anchorage below the locks.
