Repairs will take longer
After on May 16 a fire occurred in the auxiliary engine of the "Bohus" and as a result, all ferry sailings were canceled for one week due to damage, it was hoped the vessel would be operational again on May 24, but now it turned out that it takes longer to repair the damage in Frederikshavn than initially thought. She sailed again after repairs on May 30 at 4.30 a.m. and headed to Sandefjord, where it arrived at 10.50 a.m. She resumed the service to Stromstad at 1.50 p.m, arriving there at 4 p.m.
Ferry towed to repair yard
The "Bohus" was taken in tow by the tug "Fenja (IMO:9192076), which had been called from Wallhamn at 5 p.m. and entered the port of Sandefjord on May 17 at 3 a.m. The ships left Sandefjord at 5.30 a.m., bound to Frederikshavn where the ferry was to be repaired. The ship was berthed at the Orskov Yard A/S on Mary 18 at 5.50 a.m.
Fire in engine room
On May 16, 2019, short before 6 a.m. a fire broke out aboard the "Bohus" operating the Sandefjord - Strømstad route at the Framnes quay in Sandefjord. Fire brigade and police were mobilized to the site. The crew of 31 was ecacuated by the emergency services. The fire was under control at 6.20 a.m., but the ship had to be ventilated, all departures with the ferry were canceled for the time being, while Color Line was working to get an overview of the damage to the ship.
