Landing craft abandoned in Quelimane
The "Indico I" and "Indico II" were reported to have been abandoned by their owners or operators at the central Mozambique port of Quelimane. The landing craft are owned by Transmaritima, a state-owned company and are registered in Mozambique. They have been on charter to the Safetrade Mozambique company which located them at Quelimane pending the start-up of transhipping titanium-bearing heavy mineral sands in the Zambezia district of Chinde, where a Chinese firm Africa Great Wall Mining is.
