Engine failure in Paxos
The Port Authority of Paxos was informedin the morning hours of Sep 13, 2022, by the Master of the "Ilida II" that, during the engine warm-up for the scheduled route from the port of Gaio Paxos to the port of Corfu, the starboard side main engine failed. The Port Authority prohibited the sailing of the ferry until the presentation of a certificate of class maintenance by the monitoring classification society, while its 80 passengers were forwarded to their destination aboard another ship.

On July 28, 2022, at midday, the Port Authority of Corfu was informed by the master of the 'Ilida II' of a mechanical damage of the starboard side main engine, while sailing eight nautical miles southeast of the port of Corfu, performing the scheduled route from the port of Corfu to the port of Gaiou in the province of Paxos with five passengers. The hydrofoil returned to the port of Corfu, accompanied by a patrol boat, under his own power. The Central Port Authority of Corfu banned the ferry from sailing until the repair of the damage and the presentation of a certificate of class maintenance and seaworthiness by the monitoring classification society, The passengers were forwarded to their destination with the care of the company.

The Port of Paxos and the Central Port Authority of Corfu were informed in the morning hours of July 3, 2022, by the Master of the 'Ilida II', that during the execution of its scheduled route from the port of Gaio, North Paxos, towards the port of Corfu, the ferry experienced a sudden shutdown of the port side main engine. The vessel continued its voyage using the starboard side main engine and sailed to the new port of Corfu, where the 67 passengers disembarked safely. Afterwards, an emergency inspection was carried out by the Local Ship Inspection Unit of the Corfu Port Authority, where it was found that the port side main engine could not be started for no apparent reason. The Central Port Authority of Corfu prohibited the sailing of the ship until the repair of the damage and the presentation of a certificate of maintenance of class and seaworthiness by the monitoring classification society.
