Ferry suffered engine failure
On the afternoon of Aug 5, the Port Authorities of Corfu and Poros were informed that the 'Ilida Dolphin' haded a failure in the starboard side main engine, during the execution of the scheduled route from the port of Paxos to the port of Corfu with 70 passengers and six crew members on board. The hydrofoil sailed under its own power at sreduced speed to the port of Corfu, where it safely disembarked its passengers. An inspection was carried out by the officers of the Local Scale of Ship Inspection and the Central Port Authority of Corfu eho prohibited the sailing of the ferry until the repair of the damage and the presentation of a certificate of class maintenance by the monitoring classification society.
Hydrofoil suffered vibrations
On July 21, 2024, at noon , the Port Authority of Corfu was informed by the master of the 'Ilida Dolphin', that while sailing in the waters of Lefkimmi, a strong vibration was observed on the starboard side of the ship. The ship, which was on a scheduled route from the Gatou port of Paxos to the port of Corfu with 95 passengers and six crew members on board, safely arrived at the port of Corfu, where all passengers disembarked. The Central Port Authority of Corfu banned the ferry from sailing until the repair of the damage and the presentation of a certificate of class maintenance and seaworthiness by the monitoring classification society.
Engine trouble off Corfu
The Port Authority of Paxos was informed in the morning of Sep 24, 2023, by the maoster of the 'Ilida Dolphin' about damage to the staarboard side main engine, while sailing in the wasters of Aspprokavo in the Corfu province on a scheduled route from the port of Corfu to the port of Gaios Paxos. The ship sailed safely to the port of Paxos, where it disembarked its 10 passengers. The Central Port Authority of Corfu prohibited the sailing of the sihp until the repair of the damage and the presentation of a certificate of class maintenance by the monitoring classification society. Passengers from the port of Paxos to the port of Corfu were forwarded by the ship-owning company.
