Police found defiencies in Brunsbüttel
On Oct 7, 2019, around noon, officers of the Brunsbüttel water police inspected the "Lammy" during the passaoge of the Kiel Canal locks at Brunsbüttel and found some deficiencies. The officials also checked the vessel's compliance with the Ballast Water Convention. They discovered that the captain and the first officer in charge had not signed any ballast water diary entries. In addition, several discharges were detected in the intra-North Sea shipping, but outside the scope of the Marine Environment Regulation. On the orders of the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency, an administrative offense was launched against the Dutch captain and his Ukrainian first officer due to the lack of signatures. A security deposit of 128.50 Euro from the captain and 228.50 Euro from the first officer were ordered. The ship continued its voyage from Oernskoeldsvik to Hull at 1.50 p.m. with an ETA as of Oct 8, 10 p.m.
