Offshore vessel laid up

Thu Mar 10 11:16:26 CET 2016 Timsen

Island Offshore on Mar 9, 2016, has decided to lay up the "Island Dragon" and "Iceland Duchess". The "Island Dragon" had a contract with Lundin Norway since summer 2014 and was replaced by the "Island Commander". The reason was the need of the oil company for a vessel with a larger deck area. The "Island Dragon" berthed in Stavanger on Mar 9. The "Island Duchess" has a time charter in Las Palmas for missions off Africa. The lack of work led to the decision of Island Offshore to lay up the ship in Ulsteinvik.
