Historic tug ran aground

Mon May 09 20:55:00 CEST 2016 Timsen

The "Holland" ran aground on the Terschellinger Ground west of Terschelling on its way back from the port Party in Hamburg to Harlingen when it got stuck around 11:00 a.m. It was almost high Tide. The ship was stable and the crew safe. The tugs "Hurricane" and "Hunter" of Noordgat in Terschelling were made ready to undertake a salvage attempt in the evening. The tug was smoothly refloated by the "Hunter" with the rising tide around 10 p.m. and berthed in Harlingen on May 10 at 00.30.
