Tanker captain medevaced after collpase
The US Coast Guard medevaced a mariner nine miles offshore Corpus Christi, Texas, in the afternoon of Nov 16, 2020. Coast Guard Sector/Air Station Corpus Christi watchstanders received a call from the 'Hoegh Galleon' stating that the captain of the vessel had collapsed and was unresponsive. Watchstanders consulted with the duty flight surgeon who recommended the medevac. A Sector/Air Station Corpus Christi MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew was launched to the scene. Once on scene, the aircrew hoisted and transported the mariner to awaiting emergency services personnel at the CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi-Shoreline in stable condition. Höegh LNG announces delivery of FSRU number ten, Höegh Galleon
Höegh LNG Holdings Ltd. (Höegh LNG) today took delivery of Höegh Galleon, its tenth floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU), the company said in its release. This high-specification FSRU has been constructed at Samsung Heavy Industries in South Korea and has a storage capacity of 170 000 cbm of LNG and a regasification capacity of 750 million standard cubic feet per day. The vessel is equipped with a GTT Mark III membrane containment system and tri-fuel diesel-electric (TFDE) propulsion. The delivery of the Höegh Galleon marks the completion of Höegh LNG’s current newbuilding programme and confirms the company’s position as the industry leader in the FSRU market.
Höegh LNG enters into interim charter with Cheniere for newbuild LNG carrier
Norway’s Höegh LNG has entered into an interim LNG carrier time charter with Cheniere Marketing International for its newbuild Höegh Galleon. The time charter will commence in September, following the delivery of the vessel from Samsung Heavy Industries.
