Fishing vessel towed to A Coruna
The 'Himajo Primero' requested towing assistance with seven crew members on board due to engine problems 30 nautical miles northwest of Cedeira in vicinity 43 34 48 N, 008 20 24 W, in the morning of Jan 6, 2023 The MRCC of Salvamento Marítimo in Finisterre mobilized the 'SAR Gavia' (IMO: 9525742), which pulled the vessel to the port of A Coruna at 8 p.m.
Disabled ship towed to A Coruña
On Oct 9, 2019, the 'Himajo Primero' suffered an engine breakdown with a crew of nine on board five miles north of the Sisargas Islands. Salvamento Marítimo was asked to assist and deployed the SAR vessel 'Salvamar Betelgeuse' which took the disabled ship in tow.
