Fishing vessel towed to Skagen
On May 28, 2019, at 4.50 p.m. the "Signet - HG 410" (IMO: 6612178), was disabled in the Skagerrak after a rope got into the propulsion and fouled the propeller. The vessel had sailed from Hirtshals on May 27 at 9.40 p.m. The Danish fishing support vessel "Vestkysten" (IMO: 8516885) was called to assist and towed the casualty into the port of Skagen on May 29 at 2 a.m. After the propulsion was cleared, it left the port again around 2 p.m.
Disabled trawler towed to Gonvika
On May 31, 2015, the "Kas Ken - HG 77" was towed into Sandefjord after the propeller got fouled by the net in five meter waves in the Skagerak. The shrimp trawler had alerted Tjøme Radio at 4 p.m. after having been disabled 12 miles off the coast. The Coastguard vessel "Nornen" and the liefboat "Stormbull" were dispatchted to the ship and its crew of four who had struggled to bring up the net, when it turned out that it had jammed the propeller. The trawler was then towed to Sandefjord where the ship was berthed at Gonvika in the night. Here the net had to be cut loose by divers. down to cut loose the memo from the propeller.
