Rig underway to breakers in China aboard dock ship

The world's largest heavvy lift vessel, the "Dockwise Vanguard" took on board the "Hermod" in Rotterdam on Sep 15. The dockship will deliver the half submersible rig at a demolition site in Zhoushan. This was one of the five new heavy transport assignments recently acquired by Boskalis with a total value of $ 50 million for its daughter company Dockwise. The Dutch firm Heerema will take the "Hermod" out of action at the end of 2017The International Ship Recycling Company will dismantle the vessel. The "Hermod" will be transported to its final destination on the heavy transport vessel "Dockwise Vanguard" of Boskalis.
